Here's another classic HF antenna worth trying.  In this video, Stan Gibilisco (W1GV) introduces us to the Windom Antenna and explains the theory, design, and operation of this "oldie but goodie" from the early 20th century.  Modern versions of this antenna can be fed with balanced feed line and used with an antenna transmatch (i.e. "tuner") to gain multiband HF operation.
