Here's an antenna idea for radio amateurs living in deed-restricted apartments and homes.  According to Stan Gibilisco (W1GV), the attic of your home or apartment may have sufficient space to install a simple dipole antenna.  Depending on the type of roofing materials used in your home, an attic antenna may offer good performance while being totally invisible to prying neighbors. It's worth a try. Afterall, a compromise antenna is better than no antenna.
