Operating beach portable is lots of fun, especially when you use a simple ground wire connected directly to the ocean.  A nicely produced video from AC2RJ, as he operates from a beach in Massachusetts.  His simple vertical antenna and Yaesu FT-817 perform well in this environment.
A day at the beach and ham radio--great outdoor activity.
