Barbed Wire Antenna. Post #1659.

Just about anything can be used as an HF antenna, provided you can match the impedances between rig and wire and have a suitable ground radial system.  In this video, WA5PMO uses a random length of barbed wire fence for his antenna.  Apparently, the emergency lashup works, saying "I worked Canada on 20 meters from Wixon Valley, Texas (using) a Yaesu-879D."  Be sure to tap your creativity if you need an HF antenna in a hurry.
