Building a trap dipole for 7 and 14 MHz. Post 1901.

If you only want to operate on two or three bands and don't want to adjust an antenna transmatch (i.e. "tuner"), then this trapped dipole for 7 and 14 MHz may be for you. 

Peter Parker (VK3YE) does an excellent job of taking us through the theory, design, construction, tuning, and use of this simple, effective antenna.

Peter puts particular emphasis on getting a SWR closest to 1:1 and on designing an effective 14 MHz trap.  This project would be excellent for any "field operation", such as the ARRL Field Day, SOTA, or IOTA DX-peditions.
