Thanks to John Ryan for this simple, easily-made Moxon Antenna for the 6 meter amateur radio band.  Most of the materials can be found at the nearest hardware store or building supply outlet.

The antenna is made from PVC pipe, stiff wire, and 50 ohm coaxial cable. The choke balun is also made from coaxial cable. The antenna is portable, making it perfect for the ARRL Field Day or an impromptu outing at the nearest park or beach.  Why not make one of these antennas for home or emergency use?
