Folded Dipole Antenna.

An excellent description of the theory, design, and construction of the folded dipole antenna from Stan Gibilisco (W1GV). When I was a novice licensee (1977), I built a folded dipole for 40 meters out of 300 ohm television twin lead. The antenna was stretched between two Norfolk pine trees, approximately 40 feet/12.19 meters above ground. I worked quite a bit of DX into Southeast Asia and the mainland U.S. from my Hawaii Island location. Nice antenna--easy to make and fairly cheap. Aloha es 73 de Russ (KH6JRM).
