This excellent video with Gordon West (WB6NOA) comes from the Ham Nation program, episode 215.  In this video, Gordon shows how radio amateurs remain active by placing a variety of antennas in their attics.  Sometimes, there are no other alternatives because of deed-restricted housing (HOAs and CC&Rs). A few of these compromise antennas work quite well, delivering hours of operating time to antenna-limited areas.  Hopefully, some of these suggestions will help you get and stay on the air.
