5-Band Frame Antenna, Part 1

It was used during the world wars. Due to its dimensions it can be used in restricted space like balcony, portable or indoors conditions. HAM RADIO: Building a coaxial magnetic loop antenna, part 1

Here's a nice magnetic loop antenna project from Mike (M0MSN). In part 1, Mike takes us step-by-step in designing and building the loops needed for this antenna.  In part 2, Mike will build the capacitor to help tune the antenna. So this upload is all about the making of the double loop. it is a simple job but you will need some spacers and a lot of time to get it right. there is NO set diameter for the loops I decided on 1M in diameter and ended up with 94cm but it still works so!!! Parts: 6M of ridged Coax ( something like Andrew Heliax) 15mm 4 spacers (I printed these but you can use PVC Pipe) Variable Air Capacitor to finish the job To get notified of the next upload .click that bell and subscribe.. Building a Delta Loop Antenna For The 30M Band, part 1

In part one, Gil shows us the materials and construction practices needed to bring this antenna to life.  He also describes the mistakes he made in making the antenna--something he corrects in part 2.  The video takes us step-by-step through this interesting antenna project. Here are some of Gil's observations from part 1: "Since my 6m Delta Loop seems to work pretty well I decided to build one for the 30m band to be used with my Spiderbeam 12m mast. One of the best all-around HF antennas is the multi-band doublet. The antenna is simple, inexpensive, and covers several HF bands with the aid of a parallel feed line and a balanced antenna "tuner." In this well-made video, Kevin Loughin (KB9RLW) presents a two-part series on the theory, design, construction, and use of this versatile antenna. A fascinating and educational video tutorial on how to create a portable amateur radio station for a RV (recreational vehicle).  Randy Hall (K7AGE) dropped by the 2018 Quartzfest in Arizona to interview Jeri Ellsworth (AI6TK) and Amy Herndon (AI6ZU) as they prepared to operate at this annual festival for RV owners.  It's interesting to note how Jeri and Amy worked around grounding and antenna problems to get their mobile station on the air.  Some of the suggestions discussed in this video could be useful for radio amateurs operating in deed-restricted properties (HOAs/CC&Rs).
