Simple, stealthy, multi-band vertical DX antenna

Image
If you need an easily deployable, stealthy DX antenna, please try this design from Tim (G5TM).  I've built several of these antennas, and they work well, despite some loss of efficiency. A good idea for a quick to erect and remove portable and/or low profile antenna for stealthy home installations. Simple, Stealthy, Multi-band Vertical Antenna

If you need a simple, easily assembled HF antenna for both home and portable use, please try this "stealthy, multi-band vertical antenna" from Tim (G5TM). With the exception of a wide-range antenna transmatch (i.e. "tuner"), you should have most of the materials for this project in your junk box.  Stores such as Loew's, Home Depot, or Ace Hardware offer a variety of parts, including wire, support rope, and insulators. A Quick, Simple, Inexpensive Trailer Hitch Antenna Mast. Post #1050.

A Quick, Simple, Inexpensive Trailer Hitch Antenna Mast (http://www.eham.net/articles/38039). Accessed on 21 February 2017, 21:35 hrs, UTC. Author:  Joe Tomasone (AB2M). Please click link or insert title URL into your browser search box to read the complete article. Comment: A nice, well-written, and richly photographed tutorial on building a sturdy, inexpensive trailer hitch antenna mast.  Just follow the suggestions outlined in this article and you should have little trouble attaching the hitch to your vehicle and supporting a lightweight antenna for portable operations. In the comment section of the article, KE4ZHH suggests using a telescoping fiberglass mast with the trailer hitch.  One could easily use the tip of the fiberglass mast to support an inverted vee antenna.  Either way, this article is a good example of what can be done with simple materials.
